MATCH V. MIDDLESEX.
COLONIALS 320 FOR FIVE WICKETS. By Telegraph.- Press Association.— London, August 21, The Australians commenced a match at Lord's to-day against the following Middlesex eleven:—,!. T. Hcarno, Albert Trotl, Roaohe, J. T. Rawlin, 0. M. Wells, P. F. Warner, F. G. J. Ford, L. J. Moon,, Jas. Douglas, R. Douglas, and 0. McGregor. Tho weather was brilliant, the wicket fast, and tho attendance largo. Hill, Worrall, and Johns are standing out of tho Australian Eleven. Australia batted first. At the luncheon adjournment, four wickets were down for 101 runs. After luncheon Trumpor and Darling, and subsequently Darling and Iredale, scored freely, and when play ceased for tho day the Australians had scored 320 for the loss of five wickets, Darling being not out 78, and Iredale not out 76. Tho scores follow: — AUSTRALIA.— Innings. Trumble, o McGregor, b Trott 10 McLeod, run out 48 Noble, o R. Douglas, b Trott 14 Gregory, c McGregor, b Trott 10 Truraper, c McGregor, b Trott 62 Darling, not out 78 Iredale, not ov', 76 Extras ... 22 Total for five wickets 320
