A NEW COAL DISCOVERY.

Our Waipu correspondent writes : —Considerable interest is being excited here by the discovery of a small seam of coal on the property of Mr. R. Fleet. The coal is bright and black, and burns well, and may prove a useful steam and household fuel. The seam at the outcrop is about 16in thick, and increasing in thickness as it is being worked on.
