The mail steamer Mariposa resumed hei Toyage to Sydney at 11.30 a.m. yesterday. Yesterday the barque Royal Tar was floated into the Auckland Dock for cleaning and painting. The Union Company's steamer Pukaki left Weslport for Auckland at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and is due to-morrow On discharge the steamer returns to Westport to load coal again for Auckland. On Tuesday night (lie Union Company's Iteamer Rotokino left Timaru for Auckland, and is due on Saturday. The barquentine Margarita has completed her loading of timbe. at Kaipara for Sydney, and will probably sail to-day. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Waitangi left for Kuaotunu. Mercury Bav, Tairiia. Wliangainata and Tauranga. The barque Kathleen Hilda, which loads coal at Newcastle for Lyttelton, has been fixed by Mr. W. Niccpl to load grain at the latter port for Auckland. Yesterday tho barque Devonport arrived at Kainara from Dunedin to load timber for Melbourne. The brigantine Stanley arrived at Kaipara yesterday from Launreston to load timber for an Australian port.

THE WARSHIPS. 11.M.5. Mildura left yesterday morning for a cruise in the Gulf, during which big gun practice will be cone through. The warship is expected to return to port to-mor-row. H.M.s. P.intrdove, which left Lvtte'ton on Thursday Inst, arrived off the North Head yesterday morning, where she met the Mi'dura, and accompanied that vessel outside on her cruise. THE ALAMEDA. The American mail steamer Alameda left Sydney for Auckland yesterday afternoon, and is due 011 Sunday nest. She leaves for Apia. Honolulu, and San Francisco at noon on Monday. THE FLORA. The Union Company's steamer Flora left Gisborno for Auckland at 8 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive about 1C a.m. to-day. She leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at noon on Saturday. THE I'POLU. The Union Company's steamer Upolu is due from Fiii to-da.v, and on discharge of cargo proceeds to Wellington. THE AVESTIiALIA. The Hnddnrt-l'arker steamer Westralia left Sydney for Auckland last evening, and is expected to arrive on Sunday night next. THE NORTHERN COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The Muritai will leave at 3 p.m. to-day for Tauranpra. Onotiki, and Whakatane, in place of the M'aiotabi. The Ngungnru will leave for Waipu at 9 o'clock to-m?iit. The departure of the Ohinemuri for Wliangapoua is postponed until 9 p.m. to-mor-row. There will be no steamer for Kennedy's cay. Kuaotunu, and Mercury Bay to-morrow Hunt.

THE ALICE. Tile American barque Alice is now loadng at New York for Auckland, and is expected to sail in about 30 dais' time. Freight by the vessel is announced at 10 cents per cubic foot, by Messrs.
