BANKERS: Tho Bank of Australasia. BROKERS: Of tho Auckland Stock Exchange. SECRETARY AND OFFICE: E. R. Hunt (Acting), 36, Shortland-streot, Auckland, N.Z. This Company is formed to provide funds to acquire and work Iho ground known as the "CINNABAR FIND." situated closo to tlio Maungakiiikiri Stream, Kauacranga Valley, about seven miles from the Thames J by road, or two miles as the crow Hies. I It is estimated that the funds availablo will bo aniplo to develop the property, and to erect a plant with sufficient capacity to roast the cinnabar ore, and condense tho fume to recover the quicksilver or mercury. In various parts of New Zealand quicksilver, either free or associated with sulphur as ciniiabtr, lias been found from time to time, but nothing hitherto of a pnyablo nature till the Kauaerangn discovery, which lias been prospected, and favourable reports have bp'ii made upon it by Mr. Alex. McKay, Geologist to tlio New Zealand Government, Mr. W. 11. Rundall. A.M.1.C.E., and Mr. F. li. W. Daw. F.G.S. Mr. Randall continues:— With a very small outlay considerable quantities of oro, worth £5 per ton and upwards, could bo obtained. Tile cost of treating the ore should not exceed 12s per ton; and, allowing for an extraction of 75 per cent, of tho mercury contents, a very handsome profit should be realised on ore worth £5 per ton." Since Sir. Daw's visit to the outcrops work lias been proceeding, and tho mine manager reports:—" cut the cinnabar in tile drive yesterdays it is from 18 inches to 2 feet thick, but nothing defined, rather jumbled up, but somo of it shows very rich ore."— John Crawfi.rd. _ The richest mine in the world is Almaden, in Spain, having a history of 2000 years. The average metallic contents treated at the most important works are:—At Almaden, 8 per cent ; Idria, 0.8 per cent.; Nikitora, 1 per cent.: Side, 1.2 per cent.; Cornaccliino, 0.6 per cent.; iMoutbuono, 0.4 per cent.; California. 1 to 3 per cent. Assays have been made bv tlio Thames School of Minus which show that tlio samples run from 0.3 to 27.6 per cent, of cinnabar. Tlio selling price in London anil California is 2s per lb. There is ample scope for a prosperous business in quicksilver to be worked up, at a good profit, local price to Miuin? Companies being £9 10s per flask, or over 2s 6(1 per lb. There is abundance of wood in the locality, either for firing the kilns to eitract the quicksilver from the ore or for milling timber. Tbe area of land is 94 acres 3 roods, and ; s held under a lease known as a Mineral License from the Crown. Should the further prospecting operations warrant proceeding with the erection of works to treat the ore. a Plant could be erected for CISCO. It will thus be seen that the capital required for plant, is small, and. from the richness of the ores ill the land secured, there is every reason to assume that there will be handsome returns from a plant well within tho means of this Company. A Bonus of 4d per lb is offered by tho New Zealand Government Tor the production of the first IOO.OOOIbs of marketable quicksilver produced, which amounts to .£1666 13s Id. Tho properly is being acquired from the present owners in consideration of an allotment to them of one-third of the shares of the Company (fully paid upl and a cash payment of .127-3. The contract is made between Messrs. Robert, Stevenson and others, and Mr. 1!. It. Hunt, and can lie seen at the office of the latter. Mr. 11. R. Hunt will transfer the agreement with Messrs. Medical, p T the JAWS OP DEATH, TO MR. J. BAXTER, Cliristcliiu'cli. It is now nljout four years since I caught a> severe Cold, accompanied with a misty Wheezing Cough. I consulted my medical adviser (who holds tlio foremost position here); ho informed 1110 that my complaint was ■i an(l , ro:ltc mo accordingly, but with little result— the least cold brought on a renewal of old symptoms in all their urgency. At this period I was not ablo to retire to bed on account of the difficulty of breathing, which threatened my death. I llavo paced my room for hours together to relieve my breathing. This state of affairs continued for a long period; I might almost say until.lite became a burden to me. I reached the very brink of despair, having tried almost everything to 110 purpose, when, v o n n!' n »-^Tv 0I1 1 ?„?Xj 0llr Pamphlets about i 5 ' RIiSEIiVER" came into my {lands. I carefully perused it, and from the high character of the testimonials given i,f persons cured, I was induced to purchase a bottle, which ■ I used, and which afforded immediate relief, at once demonstrating Dr. », stat0 ™ 1 ! t: "Tl'at in CIISOS of Asthma It quietly tuts short the paroxysm." I have used the ." LUNG PRESERVER" for twelve months with tho greatest success, as von can imagine when I toll you that I havo not had what I call a bad night during the whole winter, which hitherto has been tho most dreaded season of the year to me. I havo iccommended your Medicine to persons with various complaints of the Chests, with similar success I cannot do better than indicate my high appreciation of tho Medicine in the concluding words of Dr. Ewart'e valuable testimony: In OliKonic Bronchitis or winter Cough it is useful; the discharge of mucus is greatly assisted and the Wheezing and Difficulty of Breathing are greatly relieved by it. 11l Acute Bronchitis it is also benefacial, and whilst it tends to check inflammalion, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breathinso general in theso attacks. As a Cough Medicine, for persons of all ages, it is excellent. °« are , at liberty to make what use you like of this letter.
