POLLOK. At tho first meeting of the school committee, Messrs. J. Torbet (chairman* and R. Dick were appointed to sign cheques. Tenders were called for a supply of firewood to be cut and delivered. Two tenders were received, that of Mi. J. Clark was accepted, which was for 7s a ton. Messrs. Champtaloup and Cooper's account for stationery was passed for payment. It was agreed to purchase a quantity of firewood, belonging to tho late teacher, also to call for tenders lor the purpose of putting a floor into the shelter shed, the estimated cost of which would he £2 10s. It was resolved, "That Messrs. Dick and Pye have charge of the matter.— [Own Correspondent.]
