ROAD BOARD MEETINGS.
PUKEKTJKA. JI A MEETING of the Pukekura Road Board m held at Pukerimu. There were present! ; Messrs. Lake (chairman}, Allen, K. Fisher, Thornton, Walker, and W. White. An application from the Government Valuer for the Board's rate roll was received, and it was agreed to comply with the request on payment of the usual fee of £2 2s. The chairman reported that it had been deemed si yisable to open a gravel pit in Cambrifa West. Mr. Allen reported that he had let tho forming and gravelling of Pukekura Bead to Harris and Co. The Board adjourned for the annual meeting, which was not well attended. The balance-sheet showed a balance of £40 6s 9d in bank. A halfpenny rate was decided upon, as tho balance was rather small. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to members for past services. The Board then » snmeo. Mr. Lake was re-elected chairman, and Mr. E. Fitzgerald clerk, collector, and returning officer. ?i : ' CAMBRIDGE. - H The annual meet-ins of the Cambridge Boal Board was held in the Public Hall on Sato «ay. The balance-sheet was then read, and disclosed a very satisfactory state of finance, there being a credit balance of about £330, after taking credit for subsidy and rates due.
