[BY TELEGRAPH.— OWV I'OIIPFirOXDENT.] Tmiflis, Wednesday. A TOTAL of 232 applications for pension claims have, so far, bedn lodged with Mr. James Jordan, the Deputy Registrar.
An incipient fire occurred at tho residence of Mrs. Carran, at Tararu, this evening, but it was extinguished before much damage was done.
A man named Thomr.s Anderson was today sentenced to one mouth's imprisonment in Mount Eden Gaol, on two charges of larceny from local tradesmen.
