ELTHAM ACCIDENTS.

Off Saturday last a young man, Leonard Webby, farmer and horse-dealer, met with a very serious accident at Kaponga. He was riding a young horse, which threw him. When falling, he hold on to the reins, and the animal rearing up, came down with its feet on Webby, one hind hoof striking him on the forehead and seriously injuring him. Drs. Paget and Harrison attended the sufferer, and there are some slight hopes of his ultimate recovery. A man named Anderson, while waiting at Neilson's, blacksmith, in Itham, until his horse was shod, received a kick on the left leg, breaking the limb. He was conveyed to the Hawera Hospital. The unfortunate man had only just left the hospital, and had come here seeking to work.— [Own Correspondent.]
