[BY TEKGRAPII.-PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Paluerstox North, Saturday. To-day William Welch was served with a writ at the instance of William Park, clawing £500 for alleged slander. Both are well-known business men in Pamerston. Gheymoutii, Sunday. The coal exports for the week were: Blackball, 2182 tons scwt; Brunner, 1395 tons 2cwt. The timber export was 040,000 ft, and 2500 silver pine sleepers.
