Jfud, the contractor for the construction of the new lighthouse, which is to be erected on the East Cape, is making good progress with the casting of the cylinders, and as each tier is cast it is being fitted into position in the foundry yards. The fourth tier has been put on, which brings the height up to 24ft. The total height of the tower, when completed, will be about 54ft.
