By Telegraph.—Press Association.— RECOGNITION OF PROFESSIONAL CYCLISTS. Sydney, August 20. The Cyclists' Union is discussing a new constitution, providing lor the admission of both amateurs and professionals. Many prominent cyclists are strongly opposed to the union's recognition of cash racing. THE PARIS EXHIBITION. Sydney, August 21. The Premiers at the Conference discussed the Paris Exhibition, and were agreed that the space allotted to the colonics is too small, especially for New South Wales and Victoria. Unless the space is increased it if doubtful if any of the colonics will exhibit. THE QUEENSLAND LABOUR MARKET. Sydney, August 20. Mr. Byrnes, the Premier of Queensland, has arrived at Sydney, to attend the Premiers' Conference. On being interviewed, he said there were everywhere indications of increasing prosperity in Queensland. The scarcity of labour was so pronounced that the Government would probably have to re- ' vive assisted immigration. The sugar crop would be a record one. There was a growing sentiment in favour of federation. A SHIPPING FATALITY. Melbourne, August 20. ; The cutter Emily has been wrecked at Mallacoota.
