A PROFITABLE PARTNERSHIP. By Telegraph.— Association.-Copyriglit. London, August 19. In the county match, Yorkshire v. Derbyshire, Tunnicliffo and Brown opened the batting for Yorkshire, and at the close of the day's play they were both not out, the scores being Tunnicliffo 214, Brown 270. Tho partnership eventually resulted in 554 runs. Tunnicliffo raado 243. Brown raised his score to 400. The remainder of the Yorkshiremen threw their wickets away, and the innings closed for 662. London, August. 20. On reaching the fourth century Brown purposely hit his wicket, thinking he had made a record score. In the match Surrey v. Lancashire, the former scored 634, Hayward (not out) 315.
