WRECK OF A FRENCH CRUISER.

Paris, August 18. The French cruiser La Perouso was caught in a tidal wave at Madagascar and wrecked. General Gallievri, the French commander in Madagascar, had a narrow escape of drowning. The crew were rescued and the guns and stores saved.
