THE DISASTER TO A FRENCH EXPEDITION.

News lias been received that 2G survivors of the French expedition, under Captain Cagemajou to tho Sokoto sultanate, of which the leader and a number of men were recently massacred, have arrived at Say. They attribute the disaster to an ambush planned by a Sokoto chief.
