THE MARAROA.-A SMART PASSAGE. The Union Company's steamer Mararoa, Captain Edwin Phillips, arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon, after a very quick passage. Mr. A. C. Walker, the purser, to whom we are indebted for our files, etc., reports: The Mararoa left the Union Steamship Company's Margaret-street Wharf. Sydney, on the 13th inst, at 5.45 p.m., and cleared the Heads at 6.30 p.m. ; sighted the Three Kings on the 16tk, at 8 p.m. ; passed Tiritiri 12.15 p.m., on the 17th, and made fast to the Queen-street Wharf at 1.45 p.m. Fine weather and fair winds were experienced throughout the passage. The Mararoa leaves for East Coast and Southern ports to-morrow afternoon.

THE WAIHORA. The Union Company's steamer Waihora, Captain R. Neville, .arrived from Southern and East Coast ports yesterday afternoon. Mr. George Crawley, the purser, reports that the steamer left Dnnedin on Tuesday afternoon last, and called at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday, and berthing at the Queen-street Wharf at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. Fine weather prevailed up to the East Cape, followed by strong head winds and sea crossing the Bay of Plenty, moderating as port was approached. The Waihora proceeds to Sydney "this evening.

THE KIA ORA. Up to an early hour this morning there was no sign of the Union Company's steamer Kia Ora, now due from Napier, Gisborne, and Coast ports.

THE GANYMEDE. The barquo Ganymede, from the Bluff to Auckland with a cargo of grain and produce, was passed off Port Awanui on Saturday by the s.s. Waihora.

THE PUKAKX. The Union Company's steamer Pukaki, Captain A. Anthony, arrived from AVeatport yesteiday morning with a cargo of coal for the Auckland Gas Company, which will be discharged at tho Hobson-street Wharf. Mr. G. A. Sparks, the chief officer, reports that the steamer left Westport at 6.40 a.m. on the 14th inst, with a fresh following breeze and sea from tfle south-west, which was carried as far as Capo Maria Van Diemen, which was rounded at 9.40 a.m. on the 16th. Passed the North Cape at 0.50 p.m. the same date, the Poor Knights at 0.40 a.m. yesterday, the steamer berthing at the Hobson-street Wharf at 10.30 a.m. The Ptikaki leaves for Greymouth and Westport to-morrow evening. THE NEPTUNE. The barquentine Neptune sailed from Adelaide for Edithburg on the 9th inst., to load salt for Auckland. SALE OP THE CRUSADER. The iron ship Crusader, 1053 tons register, built by Messrs. C.
