DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN SOLICITOR.
[HT TELEQUAI'H. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Tadranoa, Tuesday. Mr. T. M. Humphreys, the well-known barrister and solicitor, died early this morning. Ho had been connected with business in Tauiunga for the last five years, and previously to that had been in practice in Auckland and the various mining centres. A few months ago Mr. Humphreys had a paralytic stroke, but recovered, and had been at Opotiki on native business. When returning by the Waiotalii last night he had another seizure, to which he succumbed, dying at the comparatively early age of 47. no leaves a widow and a young family of three to mourn their loss.
