THE EI.INGAMITE. Up to an early hour this morning there was no sign of the Huddart-Parker steamer Elingamiie, from Sydney. It is surmised that the steamer bits met with the heavy easterly gale which has been reported along tho coast, and has thus been delayed in her passage. Her departure for the East Coast and Southern ports has been postponed until 5 p.m. to-day.

THE TANIWHA. . The Northern Company's new steamer faiuwha left on her initial trip to I aeroa last night, and returns early to-morrow morning. Mr. Ranson (general manager), Captain 11. F. Anderson (director), and Mr. Gow (super.*tending engineer) were passengers by the steamer. THE flora. The Union Company's steamer Flora is due from Fiji to-morrow, and on discbarge proceeds to Wellington and Lyttelton. ~THE ItOTOITI. The Union Company's new steamer Rotoiti, which replaces the Maliinapua in tho Manu-kau-Wellington trade, is expected to arrive at Dunedin from Glasgow on the 25th inst. THE SATURDAY SOUTHERN STEAMERS. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri leaving Auckland on the 16th inst., and tho Te Anau leaving on the 23rd inst. for East Coast and Southern ports, will be withdrawn trom the trade. THE I'AKAPUN'A. It is cxpcctoil that the Union Company's steamer Takapuna will resume her running in the Manukau-'Wellington trade at tho end of this month. THE INDRAMAYO. The Tyser Liner Indramayo, from London, Melbourne, and Sydney, is due to-day, and on discharge proceeds to Southern ports to complete her loading for London. Messrs.
