.The second wool sale in Auckland is advertised to be held on January 19, 1898, at nine o clock, in the Wool Excnange. The prizes in connection with tho Friendly Societies' gala to be held in the Domain on January 29 are now on exhibition in the shop of McLeod Brothers, Karangahape Road. The collection is a very choice one. Entries for the band contest and sports will he received by the president and seoret'iry of the Friendly Societies' Conference until January Bth.
