Press Association.- Electric Telegraph.— BUTLER'S EXTRADITION. Sydney, July 28.' The Attorney-General, through the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has received from the American Government a heavy bill of costs in connection with the extradition of Butler. This claim has caused considerable surprise, the rule as far as the colony is concerned, being not to make any charge against foreign countries for extradition. Irrespective of the American claim, the amount of the State's expenses in this colony over the Butler case is wry small. _ RIFLE ASSOCIATION OP AUSTRALASIA. Mklbookxk, July 28. The grounds of the withdrawal are' that the council as at present constituted ii of no practical utility, there being no continuing organisation to carry out the resolutions passed at annual meetings.'
