Yesterday afternoon the Union Company's steamer Manapouri left for East Coast and Southern Ports. The Northern Company's steamer Wellington left for Whangarei last night. Last night the Northern Company's steamer lona left for the Great Barrier. The Northern Company's steamer Waitahiji left last night for Kuaotunu, Mcroufy Day, ttairUa, and Whangamata. Yesterday the barque Northern Chief sailed for the Eaipara to load timber for Sydney. H.M.9. Lizard returned to port yesterday morning after big gun practice in the gulf. Last night the barque Einpreza left for Mercury Bay in tow of the Deronpdf Ferry Company's steamer Eagle. To-day the American barque Charles Q. Rice will be all cleat of her oargo from New York. The Union Company's new cargo steamer Hawea is hot expected to arrive at this port from the South until Saturday. She left Wellington yesterday.
