GOVERNMENT POULTRY EXPERT.
[BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] Wellington, Tuesday. The Department of Agriculture is giving much attention to the breeding of poultry and the many important matters in connection therewith, such as the comparative values and advantages of special varieties. I learn that an expert will shortly be sent through the various settlements for the purpose of instructing the settlers on this subject.
