SERIOUS TRAP ACCIDENT.

[bt kleqraph.— own correspondent.] Wellington, Monday. A very severe accident has befallen Mr. Allan Maguire, well known in Auckland and Wellington as a successful contractor for large public works. While out for a drive with his daughter on Saturday affcnrnoon the buggy capsized, owing to the

wash-out in the formation of the Happy Valley Road. Both occupants of the buggy were thrown out. The lady escaped with a few bruises, but Mr. Maguire has received a severe internal injury, through the trap turning over upon him as he lay on the ground. His present condition is causing anxiety to his friends and family. He is attended by Dr. Fell.
