The concert held in the Foresters' Hall at Panmure proved to be a great success in every way. Its object was to increase the funds of St. Mathias* Church. Most of those who contributed to the entertainment on this occasion were outsiders—several came from Auckland and some from Pakuranga. The instrumental pieces were rendered by Mrs. Kay and Miss Sarah Kay on the piano, Mr. Stephens on the guitar, and Mr. Gavin on the cornet. Mr. Mat-son's humourous gongs were much appreciated. Great credit is due to Mr. William Brown, jun., for theeuecesa with which he managed the wholo affair. The refreshments during the dance which followed were given by the ladjei of Fanmure, The net proceeds amounted to some £12 or £14. . ' ''■'•'
