THE FLORA. The departure of the Union Company's steamer Flora, for Fiji has been postponed until 8 a.m. on Sunday.

A DERELICT IN MID-OCEAN. A report received from Captain Wills, of the steamer Aberdeen, at Melbourne, states that during the run from London, four days after departure, a Swedish brigantine, the Lena, was observed lying apparently abandoned, in latitude 39deg. north, and longitude lldeg. 32min, west. The brigantine had her foremast and bulwarks gone, as a_ result, no doubt, of stormy encounters with, the elements, and seas were washing over her. Captain Wills steamed round to ascertain if he could be of stay assistance, but no signs of life were visible, and at length the Aberdeen left the evident derelict behind, and pursued her course.

THE GENERAL AVERAGE QUESTION. A message from Adelaide states that an application waa made to Mr. Justice Bundey, in Chambers, for an order compelling the Orient Company to deliver goods received from England by the steamer Orotava, which had been detained by the company pending the payment to them of 20 per cent, in respect to the general average. Messrs. Good, Toms, and Co. contended that the money should be paid to a trust account in the joint names cf the Orient Company and a represeutative of the insurance companies concerned. His Honor made an order for the delivery of the goods, subject to the payment jf the average claim, with £50 as costs, pending the result of auy action, the money to be paid into Court.
