GREEK TROOPS ORDERED FROM CRETE.
GULF OF ARTA BLOCKADED.
'PRICE OF STOCKS FALLING. Athrns, April 20. The fall of Prevesa is believed to be imminent. The residents of Arta, fearing that the town would be bombarded by the Greek fleet, fled to the country. The Porte has declared the Gulf of Arta blockaded. A battle was fought at Critzvali. The Greeks first repulsed the Turks, but afterwards retreated to Maki. The i Turks captured the heights at Skumapa. The Greeks captured five Turkish blookhouses at Nezeros. Heavy fighting lias taken place at Bogaze, on the River Xerias. The Greeks are returning to the Maluna Pass. The Turks allege that the Greeks were drunk while fighting was going on. The Turkish Governor of Crete lias caused the island to be placarded with a notification allowing the Greek troops fifteen days to depart. London, April 20. At the opening of the Stock Exchange to-day Turkish bonds fell one-half per cent., Greek bonds three per cent., and British consols one-half. American stocks fell heavily.
