PRETORIA PRISONERS.

A suggestion was made to President Krugw that Mr. Davies and Captain Sampson, two Reform agitators imprisoned in Pretoria Gaol, should be liberated as a Jubilee offering in connection with the Queen's record reign. President Kruger replied that unless the lines are paid an additional year will be added to their sentences.
The prisoners in question, who were members of the Reform Committee, are undergoing a sentence of two years' imprisonment. In addition, thoy are condemned to pay a fine of £'2000 each, or, as an alternative, to undergo a further year's imprisonment, and upon the expiration of the term of imprisonment to be banished for a term of three years.
