KAURI GUM MARKET. The following are the quotations for the kauri °um market for thp week ending April 21, 1897:- . L 3 Poor ordinary, which comprises weak and rough-coated pieces, pickings, and washed nuts, £25 to £27. Ordinary, meaning hard, rough-scraped gum, varying in price according to the quantity of washed nuts, £35 to £37. Good ordinary, meaning hard, unpicked range gum, price varying according to size, scraping, and freedom from weak pieces, from £40 and uowards. East Coast, £65 to £67-Re-scraped, £88 and upwards. Supplies for 21 days of April, 290 tons. Owing to the holidays and the general dullness of trade, very little business since last week, and all quotations are more or less nominal.
