PROPOSED LEGISLATION. [lit TKLEGKAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION,] Oonedin, Tuesday. At a conference of Trades and Labour Council delegates bo-day, Mr. A. Judge was appointed oliairman, and Mr. 1). P. Fisher eecrotary. The Masters and Apprentices Bill was considered, and various amendments made, after which it wan agreed to. The Eight Hours Bill was also amended, to include the Government among employers. It was decided to auk the Government to introduce a Minimum Wage Bill, and to introduce the Waged Protection Bill of last year, with the exception of six words in clause 7, which, if amended, would make the act apply to workers employed on the co-operative system in aonnuotion with any department of the Government. It was also resolved to again urge the Government) to establish State tailoring workshops.
