TURKEY AND SAMOS.
Press Association.Electtle Telegraph.Oopyriclit. Constantinople, April 18. The Porte proposed to double the Turkish garrison in the island of Samos, principally under the sovereignty of Turkey, but the local assembly decided to resist, and the Porte therefore abandoned the proposal.
