SPEECH BY MR. SEDDON. [nV TKLEGKAPH.— PRKS3 ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. Mb. Seodon addressed u larpo meeting at Newtown, to-night, in the interests of Mr. Wilson, the Government candidate for Wellington Suburbs. Id the course of a .lengthy speech ho dealt with the charges levelled against the Government by tho Opposition candidate. He defended the sale of Bushy Park, declaring that after the estate had been offered publicly Mr. MoKonzie'e offer was the most beneficial to the colony. Mr. Seddon announced thab since the presentation of his financial memorandum to the reoenb sossion of Parliament, additional returns to hand showed that the surplus would be increased by some £10,000. A hearty vote of thanks to the lion, gentleman and a vote of confidence in the Government, was carried unanimously, _____^_
