OBJECTION TO A CARTOON.

An application was made to Mr. Justice Williams to-day for an injunction to restrain tho proprietor of " The Domocrat" newspaper from printing or publishing a cartoon. The application wae mado by Andrew MeParlano, and ovidonce was givon that the cartoon suggests that improper influence had been employed to secure for tho plaintiffs firm tho contract for the supply to the Benevolent Institution. His Honor refused to grant an immediate injunction, as the cases were against a judgo exorcising such ft power except in extreme cases.
