1 [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Monday. The charge against Frederick Lough, of having grievously wounded Arthur Innes at Omahu on Marc!) 22 last), by striking him on the head with an Indian club, was hoard at the Police Court to-day before Messrs. Theo. Wood and W. H. Lucas, J.P.'s. Sergeant Gillies conduoted the prosecution, and Mr. James Miller appeared on behalf of the accused. After hearing tho evidonoe of sevoral witnesses, tho Bench committed the accused to take his trial at the next criminal session of the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed— himself in £100, and two sureties of £50 each.
