PROTEST M THE FORTE. OPPOSITION TO ITALY'S ATTITUDE, THE POWERS AND GREECE. STATEMENT IN THE HOUSE 01? COMMONS. Athens, April 9. The admirals have abandoned the proposed mission to the Cretan insurgents. The Porte has instructed the foreign Embassies to protest against the Powers appointing n Governor of Crete, and also against the injustice of disarming the Moslems and not the Christians. The admirals have blown up two blockhouses at Kissainos to prevent the insurgents occupying them. Romk, April 9, The Opposition party in Parliament strongly condemn the attitude of the Government in regard to Crete. London, April 9. In the House of Commons Mr. Curzon stated that several of the Powers insist that the Greeks must first withdraw.
