At the inquest on the body of William Hillhouse Davidson, his companion Galloway repeated hie stateraenb that after sitting down to pick watercress he got up to go home. When a few yards away he called on deceased to come on. He then, beurd a shot, and on going back found deceased wounded. Before running for assistance he took the pea rifle out of decoised's hands and laid it down with hia own. A verdict of " Accidental death" wag roturned, the jury deeming it unnecessary to hold a post mortem.
