THE RIGNOLD SEASON.

The Opera House was again crowded laß evening to, witness tho second performance by Mr, George Rignold and company of the patriotic military drama, "Tommy Atkins.' Anything pertaining to the "red coat may at all times be expected to awaken a feeling of patriotism and pride in the heart of Britain's loyal subjects, and certainly no more fitting or suitable production in this respect Could be staged than the piece' in question. Small wonder is ib that "Tommy Atkins" has found a warm spot in the hearts of Auckland theatre goers, Certainly no point is lost in its presentation by the Rignold Company, the staging and acting throughOut being markedly good. Mr. George Rignold plays an ideal part, while the natural acting of Miss E. Hughes stamps her as an emotional actress of the highest order. The several other characters are well sustained, and the comedy element introduced is particularly good. " Tommy Atkins" will be presented ' again this evening, and until further notice.
