Thp House of Lords Committee has decided that the London Bank of Australia's reconstruction scheme shall provide for the difference between the new and the old rates of interest to be payable out of profits before the payment of dividends. Any unpaid portion shall not constitute a debt for which the bank can be sued. Later. The London Bank of Australia has accepted the Reconstruction Bill as amended by the House of Lords. They will submit the amended proposals to the deferred meeting of depositors when the Bill passes the House of Commons.
