He was also interviewed by veral of the Opposition members of the House of Representatives, who consulted fL on various aspects of the political naestione that will come before Parliament. I nrefer to give you hie opinions as expressed Jo ton. members, because they cover a wider M ]itical area. He is m agreement with the party on most of the important questions likely to •tiee. He approves of every facility being •iveti to the visit of the Premier to Engird to represent the colony at the Royal celebration that is to take place in June. He ii also in favour of a military contingent: jD(T to England with the Premier, In respect to the banking inquiry he expresses himself as dissatisfied. He thinks., bowser, chat while the present cases are before' the Court nothing can bo done, When the iasuos in those cases shall lire been determined then will be the time for dealing with the larger issue in which the taxpayers of this colony are deeply concerned. It will, in his opinion, Ik becweary to review the whole position. jut while he agrees with the proposition jhat Mr. Seddon should go to England, and that the Opposition should further the object in view to the fullest extent, he thinks that they would not be warranted in agreeing to any proposals made by the Premier if they were unreasonable, and unless either be or his Government submitted to Parliament a full statement) of the affaire of the colony, This Sir John Hill regarded as a sine qua non.
