The Union Company's steamer Flora, Captain John Bernech, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. P. Wheeler, the purser, reports that the steamer left Dimedin at 4 p.m. on the 26th nit., and called at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 10 a.m. on the 31st, and arrivfnj; as above. Fine weather prevailed throughout the trip, Last evening the Onion Company's steamer Dinsadee left for East Coast ports and Wel-

lington. The Northern Company's steamer Douglas left for Whanparei last evening. Yesterday the barque Glenlora went to an anchorage in the stream. She will sail for London at daylight this morning. The barque Lint.rathen was berthed alongside the barque Portland Lloyds yesterday morning, and will tranship her ballast into the latter vessel. As soon as the Sea King comes out of the Auckland Dock the Liutrathen will be floated in for cleaning and painting, preparatory to loading for London. Early this morning the Northern Company's steamer Clansman arrives from the North, and leaves for 'i'auranga in the evening. At noon today the Northern Company's steamer Cheltnsford leaves for Whakatane.

The hrigautine Gleaner sailed from the Kaipara for Townsville yesterday. To-inorrow the barquentine Adelaide sails for the Kaipara to load timber at Messrs. Mitchclson Bros, mill for Townsville. The brignntine Carin sailed for Sydney from the Kaipara yesterday. Yesterday the schooner Queen arrived at flokianga from this port. The new steamer Manaroa went down to Drunken Bay to have her compasses adjusted by Captain Tilly. The Manaroa leaves for Wellington to-morrow. Yesterday the scow Bravo arrived at the Thames from Kaipara, with a cargo of timber for Paeroa.

The Uuion Company's steamer Takapuna, from Wellington and Hew Plymouth, is timed to reach Onehuuga at nine o'clock tomorrow night. The Pennsylvania, as she is called, was launched on the 10th September last, and since then thousands of men have beeu engaged on her completing her for the trade in which she is to be engaged. Her dimensions are very striking: Length 585 ft, beam 62ft, and depth from keel to awning deck 42ft. Her weight is 8000 tons, but her displacement will be little short of 30,000 tons. Unloading will be carried through nine hatchways. THE OVALAU. The Union Company's steamer OtraUti, (Japtain George Crawahaw, arrived from Sydney and the Islands at 4.30 a.m. yesterday, Mr. R, Barnes, the purser, reports :- The Ovalau left the Margaret-street wharf, Sydney, on March 10th at. 11 p.m., and km abeam of Hunter's Island at 5-30 p.m. on the 16th, arriving at Suva at 4 p.m. on the 13th. Left the following day at midnight, worked Levuka on the following day, passed Wai- , langalailai at 2 a.m. on the 20th, arriving lit Apia at 4 a.m. on the 2M Left the afternoon of the same date, and called at Vavau . v and fiaapai on the 25th, making Nukualofa ~.'; at 10 a.m. on the 26th, taking departure at 1 • p.m. on the 27th. Passed Mokihinau at 11.30 p.m. on the 31st, nniving at the wharf at above.
