AUCKLAND. MESSRS. ALFRED BUCKLAS'D AMD SON'S' WEKKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket oaten sheaves have brought from 2* to 2s 9d owt. ; wheat straw continues in request at full values : maize, 2s 10d; feed oats, 2s sd; cocksfoot, 7s 6d; Poverty Bay rye grass 5s 6d ; Canterbury. 4s 3d; dun oats, 2s 8d bushel; maize on wharf, 2s fed. On Friday horse stock in modorate supply were without alteration in value. Useful farm horses were from £13 to £15 each. On Tuesday, hides in full number improved in value. Ox hides mostly ranged from 4d to 6Jd i cow hides, 3Jd to 3*il: caifekius, 4Jd to aid lb; tallow, 12s 6d and 12s9dcwt; tat, Id lb. Sheep pelts also improved in value, and ranged from 8d to 2s 6d! lamb skins, Is 9d to 2a ßd each; lamb's wool, s}d; pieces, 3d to lb. AtPukekohe on Monday there was a large number of cattle yarded, particularly cows and heifers near profit. These sold from £3 to £5 7s 6d each. Young calves were also numerous, and brought from 15s to 21s: dry cows, up to 4Ss ; fac cows, £3 153 to £4 as; three year steers, £4 to £410s 6d each. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows in usual supply were without alteration in value; prices ranged from £3 to £6 as each; store cattle, in full number, were better worth; three-year-old steers were from £3 5s to £4 ; calves, 17s to £1 7s each; fat aud young calves, in less number than usual, were without alteration in value: tat cattle in less than average number, 199 yarded. Steers were firm at last week's quotations, 16s to 17s the 1001b; but aged cows were at lower values than for many weeks. Sheep yarded numerously; for store sheep there was an improved demand at better values, but fat sheep were lower in price, from 6(1 to Is each; 2035 sold. Lambs in moderate supply were at last week's values ; 90 sold. Pigs, short of requirements, sold freely; porkers were from £1 Is to £1 13s; weaners, 7a and 8s each.

Horse-feed, seeds, grain: A moderate demand has existed, and the supply has been sufficient for requirements, consequently prices have uot (altered. We quote : Maize on wharf, 2<s 7d bushel: ex store, 2e 10d; Southern feed oats, 2s Cd; seed oate, 2s 9d; local grown, Is 9d to Is lid. Oaten chaff dull of sale, £2 10s to £2 15s ton, per truck load at station; ex store, £3 to £3 ss. Bran, £3 15s to £4 ton. Poverty Bay ryegrass, 53 6d to 6s 6il bushel; Southern ryegrass, 4s 6d; local, 3s 6d to 4a; oocksfoot, market overstocked, s<! Oil to 7s. Horses: Again large numbers have been brought forward, but as a steady demand prevailed prices did not recede. Heavy draught sold ut £17 10s to £34; medium draught, £11 7s 6d to £17 15; light harness horses, £5 10s to £12 15s; hacks, £310s to £1115s; weeds, 15si to 40i. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones: Hides have been insufficiently supplied tor requirements, and all classes have had an upward tendency in values. Moderate quantities were pitched at the ljurnam Yards on Tuesday, aud competition was keen for extra stout ox hides at 5Jd to 6Jd lb. Storo ox, 4d to 5d j.steer, 3d to 3jd; cow, 3d to 4jd; calfskins, 3Jd to 6d: tallow, inferior, 12s 6d to 12s 9d cwt.; bones, £3 7s 6d per ton: sheepskins, Is 9d to 3s id ; lambskins, Is 3d to 2s sd; pelts, Is to Is 7d. Wool, mixed lot of fleece, inferior quality, sold from 3Jd to 5Jd per lb; Lambswool, 5Jd to 6(1; pieces, 3d to 4d. Cattle: The supply has been ample and there has been no upward tendency in value. The number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday was hardly up to the average and the previous week's prices were barely sustained, we quote ox beef 16s to 17s per 170 lb; cow, 15s. Dairy cows, £3 to £6; dry cows, £110s to £217s 6d. Sheep: There has been a good many brought forward, for which there was a good demand. Fat wethers at from 9s to 11s 6d; ewes, 7s 9d to 11s. At the special store sheep sale held at Newmarket on Wednesday, the yards were completely filled.over 3000 being yarded and briskly competed for. Lincoln ewes sold from 7e 6d to 12s; oro»sbred ewes, 4s 6d to 8s 9d; lambs, 4s 6d to 7s 6d; Lincoln rains, £3. Detailed particulars are given elsewhere. Piga, plentiful, sold at from £1 7s to £2 4s each. MESSRS. G. W. BINNEY AND SOSS' REPORT. On Tuesday hides sold at extreme rates (on account of the small numbers offering), Picked stout, 6Jd to 7d; heavy stout, ad to 6d; stout. 4id to 4Jd: steer, 3Jd to 3Jd; cow, 3}d to 3Jd, for good lots. Picked exceeded this price. Calf, 4d to sd; stags, \$A to 2d per lb. Sheepskins: Local green and country aalted large, 'is 7d to 2s 8d; medium, 2s to 2a 3d; small, Is 6d to Iβ 9d; lambs, 2s to 3s each. Dry pelts are neglected, and ssll at low figures. Tallow: No change. Bones: Prices advancing. Best are worth 7os per ton. Shanks, 80s to 90s per ton. Tail hair, 10d to 10£ d; horse, lid to Is per lb for good clean parcels. Lambs, Is 8d to 3s; pelts, salted, Iβ 4d to 2s 3d; dried, Gd and 7d to Is (id. Wool: Lambs, 6d per lb. Tallow : 13s 3d to 14a 6d per cwt. Horns, hair, boues, etc., at full rates. Bonedust and blood and bone manure in good demand, at prices last quoted, viz., £5 10s per ton for the former, and £5 for the latter. Potatoes: Market fully supplied. Oats: Business is quiet, and merchants are only buying for immediate wants.
