It is alleged that on a certain farm in England every animal is white, even to the dogs, cats, rats, and mice. It is appropriately known as the " white farm." Tho trouble between farmers and mushroom gnthorors broke out in many districts in England last season. In the majority of instances it is, probable the farmers do not care much for the mushrooms, but, as any stock-owner can readily imagine, tlioy object to a lot ot people scurrying through their fields in search of mushrooms. The stock are so much disturbed by such an incursion that they do not settle for the rest of the day. Whore mushrooms are plentiful tho crop, in these hard times, is worthy of consideration. In such a case the trespassers cannot be charged with stealing, as tho crop is not a cultivated one, It has been recommended to farmers on whoso land the mushrooms grow plentifully to so a small quantity, ana thiß will make the mushrooms a cultivated crop. The Royal Dublin Society have issued a statement showing how a large proportion of the £5000 State grant now annually administered by them for improving the breed of horses and cuttlo in Ireland is to bo applied during the present year. The money has been allocated to the several counties as followsTipperary and Wexford, £140 each; Limerick, £110; Antrim, Clare, Cork (East), Cork (West), Down, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, King's, Meath, Queen's, Roscommon, Waterfotdand West Meath, each £100; Fermanagh, Longford, Mayo, and Sligo, £90 each; Carlow and Wicklow, £80 each ; Tyrone, £70; Armagh, Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Londonderry, Louth, and Monaghan, each £60 each.
