THE ALERT GOLD MIINNG COMPANY (NO LIABILITY), Notice is hereby given that by virtue of a resolution of the Board of Directors, an Extraordinary General Meeting of the abovenamed Company will be held at the Office of the Company, Shortlandstreet, Auckland, on WEDNESDAY, the 31st day of March, 1897, at the hour of two o'clock iD the afternoon. Business : 1. To consider, and if approved to pass a Resolution authorising and empowering the Directors lo sell and dispose of the whole of the property of the Company to the Gem of the Tiki Gold Mining Company (No Liability) for shares in the said Company, and on such other terms and conditions as the said Directors shall think fit, and with full power and authority to effect, accomplish, perfect, and carry out to completion any such sale, and for that purpose to use the Company's seal, and to do and perform all such acts, matters and things, anil to sign, seal, and execute all such deeds and documents as ' the said Directors shall deem necessary: 2. To consider, and if so determined, to pass a Resolution requiring the Company to be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of The Mining Companies Act, 1894, and to determine the course to be put sued by the Directors for the same purpose, and also the mode of disposal or distribution of any portion of the Company's assets of property, or any surplus i'f the Company's property which may remain after the completion of the winding-up, and to give directions and instructions to the Directors accordingly. Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders in this Company will be 1 held at the Office of the Company, Shortland-street, Auckland, on WEDNESDAY, the 31st day of March, 1697, at the hour of 3 o'clock in the afternoon, when the following resolution will lie submitted to the Shareholders :— Resolution: . That the Capital of the Company be increased to £6000 by the issue of 60,000 new shares of One Shilling each. Should the above resolution be passed, a further resolution will be submitted to the Shareholders, authorising and empowering the Board of Directors of the said Company to acquire by purchase for shares in this Company, or on such other terms and conditions as the said Board of Directors shall think fit, the raining property of the Alert Gold Mining Company (No Liability), adjoining the property of this Company, and for that purpose to enter into all such contract* and agreements, and b> allot shares, and to do and execute all such acts, natters, deeds, and things as may be requisite and I necessary. ; Dated at Auckland aforesaid this Bth day of Witch, 1897.
