The following subscriptions have been received by Mr. G. J: Jackson, Onehnnga, towards the Indian Famine Relief Fund :— Alexander Whyte, £2; Edwin Hall, £1; Mrs. C. McLeod, £1; Stone Church Sunday Bchool, Mangere, per Mrs. Hardy, 10s 4d j J. Edwards, 2s 6d; Fanny Gibson, Is 3d; Griffiths, 2s 6d: total, £418s 7d.
Dainty design and special value in fancy velveteens for blouses, etc., " now so fashionable." Red and black striped and fancies in great variety.— and Caughey. J. Tonson Garlick, amongst other seasonable goods, has just opened up a splendid lot of eider down quilts and printed plushettes, very handsome and durable for hangings; also printed and plain art serges in various colours.'
