ALLEGED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY.
[BY TELEGRAPH,— PRESS ASSOCIATION,] Uisborse, Tuesday. A nsiißiuiAN named Patrick Morris has been committed for trial on a charge of having on Saturday nighb last, assaulted one Sarah Cameron in Gladstone Road, and robbed her of £10 16e. Mrs. Cameron deposed that accused accosted hor in the street about nino o'clock at night. She said he had mado a mistake, but he followed her, and presently swung his arm round and struck her, and knocked hor dowu. Accused ran away, and she found that her pocket had been turned inside out. Her pocket contained ten £1 notes and about lGs in silver, the notes being tied together in a roll. The notos, silver, and her handkerchief had all gone. Morris was arrested as he was leaving for Napier, and oleven £1 notes in a roll wero found inside his shirt.
