A NEW ZEALAND MILITARY CONTINGENT.
[bt teleoraph.— press association.] Nelson, Sunday. The Nelson Colonist states (apparently on authority) that if has been decided to send England 20 privates and 8 officers, to be selected from the mounted rifle corps in the colony, to take part in the demon? stration at the celebrations of Her Majesty's record reign. The men selected will receive a month's drill at Wellington prior to their departure. They will not take their horses with tham, the English Government undertaking to supply them with horses while at Home.
