AUCKLAND ANNUAL REGATTA.

The committee of the Auckland Annual Regatta met at the Waitemata Hotel last night, in order to receive entries for the regatta ou Friday next. There was a large attendance, but the entries received wero much fewer than ou previous occasions. There was not a single entry for the Champion Wlialeboat Rice, which fact wits the cause of much disappointment, and for the large yacht race' there were no entries; so that both these races will fall through, It has been decided by the committee that entries for t\\a various events will be taken at the Waitemata Hotel up to 9 p.m. ou Monday next. The following entries were received last night ;— Scow Race : Irene, Orakei. Yachts (Class A): No entries. Trading Vessels; No entries, Yaclits (Class C): Ida, Raugatira, Moana. Fiehiug Boats (Handicap): Christina, Cynisca, Dolphin, Venice. All-comers' Sailing Handicap: Rogue, Gorilla, Lilian, Awatea, Undine, Foam. Yachts (Class D): Rarere, Zinita, Mahaki, Windward.

Half-decked (keel and ceutreboard): Waitangi, Kuwhia, Orewn, Helen, Mahoe. ' Open Boats, 16 feet to '20 feet overall: Eagle, Violot, Manilla, Harrier. Senior Whaleboate: North Shore Rowing Club, Waitemata-City Rowing Club (two crows). Dingy Race for boys undor 18 s P. H. Hughes, P. J. Bailey, R. F. Hanna. Maiden Whaleboats : North Slioro Rowing Club, Waitemata-City Rowiug Club (two crews). Maiden Gigs (under 10 stone): St. George's R.C., Auckland R.C., West End R.C. (two crews), North Shore R.C. Champion Whaleboats: No entry. Ships' Gigs: Te Anau. Dingy Race (lads over 18 years): E. Bailey, C. O. Hughes, V. Masefield, VV. Oliver. Ladies' Whaleboat Race: Orakei native crew, St. George's, Waitemata-City. Naval Volunteer and Man-of-War Cutters: Jlevonport Naval Artillery, Auckland Naval Artillery (two crews).
