MASONIC.
At the Freemasons' /Hull lasb night there was ft largo gathering of brethren, the occasion being the installation of Brother 0. W. Edwards as W.M. of Lodge St. Andrew, No. 8, and the investiture of the officer?. Brother J. D. Webster, W.M., was the installing master; Brothers John Page, and W. H. Cooper, P.M., were tho presenting officers; and Brother I). 11. Ross, P.M., made a very capable director of ceremonies. There was a good number of visiting brethren present, and M. W. Brother George Fowlds, Grand Suporintondenfc, and the officers of the Grand Lodge were also receivod. The office-bearers for 1897 are as followD.M., Brother R. B. Symon; S.W., Brother M. ft. McGregor; J.W., Brother J. Catchpole; treasurer, Brother J. Guthrie, P.M.; secretary, Brother G. H. Powley, P.M;; D. of C., Brother G. M. Reid, P.M.; organist, Brother T. H. Webb; S.D., Brothor D. Hyusiiaaon; J.D., Brother J. Leonard; 8.8., Brother N. McCalsky; 1.G., Brother B. Symon; S.S., Brother F. Keareley, J.S., Brother F. D. Parsons; Tyler, Brother E. Tonge. During tho evening Brother J. D. Webster, 1.P.M., was presented with a handsome past master's jewel by the brethren of the lodge.
