THE AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. The Summer Meeting of the above club commences at Potter's Paddock this day and judging by the fields there should be some good racing. Mr. Knight, the club's handicapper, is generally successful in beating the knowing people who follow the favourites, and I think in all probability he will have the pleasure, of seeing big dividends the order of the day. There is hot much line to guide one as to the horses' form, but judging by past per-'ormances I shall expect to see tho following horses run very prominently in their different races: - Maiden Pony Ruce; Topsail, Honour _ Bright. Maiden Trot: Rocket 11., Bendigo. Pony Cup : Topsy, Bit o' Fashion. Maiden Hurdles s The Dove, Frisco, Telephone ; Topsail or Cupid. Maiden Harness Trot; Deceiver, WaihineWt December Handicap: Oermina, Sneak. Epsom Trot: Duke 0., Little Ben, Ther? have been very great improvements made on the course and in the saddling paddock, and Mr. McEwin will provide a first-class luncheon in the grandstand. The first race has been timed to start at half-past one p.m. and it is the intention of the stewards to ruu the races punctually to time. Dexter,
