FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

[by telegraph,—press association.] Wellington, Thursday, Fire broke out this morning in the Wellington Biscuit Company's brick building in Parish-street, owned by Howden Brothers. Tho upper portion was gutted, and the stock badly damaged by water. The insurances are as follow Building, £500 In the Royal Exchange ; stock, in the National (half insured in the North German), £170 in tho Northern, £50 in the Phoenix, total £530; machinery, £629 in tho New Zealand, £150 in the Phoenix, £80 in the Northern, total £850. Total amount of insurances, £1870. The firm are heavy losers by the tiro.
