THE ARDGOWAN ESTATE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] : Oamahu, Wednesday, Sixty- four allotments in tho Ardgowan Estato have been taken under tho compulsory clauses of the Lands for Settlement' Act. Yesterday 1640 applications were received, averaging five sections each application, and necessitating a ballot of 8000 names. Tho rush is simply phenomenal, and the ballot will occupy two days, start-; ing to-morrow.
