SANGUINARY ENCOUNTER IN
MADAGASCAR.

Paris, May 10. Bandits massacred three French settlers at Merina, in Madagascar. The settlers offered a heroic resistance for two hours, during which forty of the bandits were killed, in armed expedition has gone in pursuit of the murderers.
